603 glass first found glassblowing in 2004-2004 after just graduating with a degree in graphic design. He didn't want to be trapped into doing just graphic design work so he went to a soft glass blowing facility in Vermont and ended up getting an apprenticeship. A couple months later bought himself a torch and spent the first year making small marbles and pendants in his garage.
Today 603 is known for his functional pipe work, much of which looks like various fish like salmon, trout, and bass. Sometimes sketching out his designs and sometime not 603 mentions sculpting is his favorite technique no matter if he's working solid or hollow. He favors sparkly colors like blue and green stardust and he says his most difficult pieces were several glass guitar collabs.
