When it comes to CBD, I never wanted to use it nor did I even believe it would work. Living with that mindset for so long has caused me to neglect the fact that I had the wrong stuff if I felt that way. Even admitting to knowing the damage any amount of the prescribed medication would do to Sandy. Although I do not hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, I have been to many Shelter and Holistic animal care clinics, schools, conferences. I have worked and am known in the Animal welfare industry and have worked with the Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA in the medical realm. I am not the best but I have learned and trained with the best. So even when I can not find the answer, I seek advice from my colleagues. The use of Simply Soluble CBD is not only approved but highly encouraged.
When dosing Simply Soluble CBD for your pet you want to take into consideration a few things. First is how you will administer the CBD. Because of the properties of Simply Soluble CBD you can rub on the gums, sprinkle in food or water, bake into treats, mix with oils to absorb in skin and more. Here are a few of my favorite recipes when treating my animals:
Edible Baked Treats
1 16 ounce can of pumpkin
2 eggs whole (shell included)
1 tbsp Oregano
1 16 ounce package of Liverwurst (cheapest brand is fine)
1 cup dry oats (can use oat flour if desired)
1 tbsp collagen
1 1500mg packet of Simply Soluble CBD
Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth
Pour into the baking dish to desired depth ( shorter depths create a crunchy cookie type, deeper depths create a brownie type treat.)
Bake on 425 for 25 - 50 minutes depending on depth of treat
Let cool and cut up to put in freezer or refrigerator bags.
For best results store in freezer
Microwave for 30 seconds before serving to your pet (make sure it is cool to the touch inside)
You can lessen or increase this recipe as desired.
Salve
2 tbsp Hard coconut oil
1 100mg packet of Simply Soluble CBD
Melt coconut oil (this can be done in microwave, stove or placing in warm location)
Mix CBD in the best you can to dissolve all powder. (I feel an electric whisk works best but you can shake or stir.)
Pour liquid into a safe container and store in the refrigerator.
Apply desired amount to wound, ears, paws, skin etc. This is OK For the animal to digest.
This method works amazingly for animals that can not or will not eat treats. The salve can be applied to your dogs feet for them to lick to get the medication as well.
Sprinkle method
Sprinkle desired dose onto dry food, wet food or water.
This does have a taste or a smell to the animals that will not be appealing at first. They will get hungry and eat it or drink.
Rub the Gums Method
This is the least desired method to the animals, they told me so! However, it seems the fastest way to get them to absorb it currently.
Take the desired amount of Simply Soluble CBD and apply it to a wet finger.
Run that wet finger on the gums and under the tongue of your animal.
Give water or a treat to help ease the taste, the animal will be fine, and once it absorbs you will physically see the positive reaction.
